Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” Margaret Mead’s words come to my mind when I think about SEND Transportation and our daily pursuit of excellence. We aren’t trying to change the world, but we are trying to change the world of transportation by working collaboratively to provide the best possible customer service possible on each and every load we haul, from beginning to end. We’re not interested in how things have always been done. We’re interested in finding the most efficient and effective processes and putting those into practice. I wholeheartedly believe in what we’re doing and I’m proud to be a part of the SEND team.

SEND Transportation is a collaborative effort that was years in the planning and execution. Since the inception in January 2013, SEND has grown from a small group of experienced transportation professionals to a team of 16 and growing. Each hire is trained the SEND way, adherence to excellence. Every member of the SEND team prides themselves in the constant pursuit of excellence each and every day. As someone who started in this industry 16 years ago with minimal training and had to learn everything just on the job, I see just how important our early focus on training and our core value of excellence has been for our employees. I have never been part of a more dedicated, organized, and professional team. As an owner I could not be prouder or happier to come to work every day. Our team is the reason that I can proudly say, “When you ship with SEND, you are SEND-ing with confidence.”

In November 2017, SEND Transportation proudly became employee-owned (ESOP). The people are what sets SEND apart and being able to pass this along to the employees is a goal that the founders of SEND had from the beginning. At SEND, we strive to adhere to the guiding principle of treating our customers, our carriers and each other with equanimity and respect each and every day. Transitioning to an ESOP company is just one way that we can do that.
